OPK

Hello!!

I have been debating and struggling with whether or not I should publicize our efforts to get pregnant. I finally decided that we should, for both our sake and others as well.

A little bit of our history....

My husband, Thomas, and I have been together four years this year and married a thirteen months as of now. For our year of marriage (and, quite honestly before we were married), we been not not trying - meaning, we haven't used any type of contraceptive and have not gotten pregnant. Our doctor declared us infertile due to my endometriosis and the fact that we haven't gotten pregnant yet. So. As of January, we "officially" began trying to conceive starting with charting my BBT. This was tedious and didn't work so I left it alone. I am not one to continue doing the samething over and over in hopes that it will work. If it's broken, I typically don't want to fix it but just want a new "one". However, I do understand that in what we're trying to do - there's going to be a lot of "trying and repeating". Anywho, for my February cycle, I did NOTHING specific to try to conceive. At all..... of course, bd'ing whenever we wanted to.

This month, for my March cycle, I ordered an OPK and am very excited about how this tool could help us to conceive! The website says that I should begin testing on cd9 but because I received my kit in the mail today and I am so incredibly impatient.... I tested today, cd7! Of course, it was negative but I enjoyed the "test run" and seeing how to use it without any stress. I am glad that I have it - unlike with BBT, I am actually excited and stressless! With BBT. I was always concerned with what my temps were doing and praying they wouldn't drop. My chart was so nutsy that I couldn't tell WHAT was going on. With my OPK, I'll be able to know if I'm ovulating at all. It's sweet!

Here's a pic of my (packaged) OPK's!!! I ordered them for a great price at early-pregnancy-test.com!! They were incredibly cheap and have lots of other great products as well!!
So.............. here's to a positive OPK this week, bd'ing at the right time, and prayerfully the conception of Baby Mayes!!!
